Last week we headed down the M6 to the Birmingham NEC for Europe’s largest free groundscare expo. It was an oppurtunity for us to hear from industry experts and see the latest technologies and product developments from around 400 leading brands over the two-day event. Ofcourse we wanted to get hands on with the new products coming from our main suppliers including Milwaukee, Husqvarna, Hayter, Toro, Stihl, Ego and Cobra. Below we will showcase some of their products ready for you to get excited for next year!

Milwaukee

Milwaukee are very new to us as a dealer and also very new to the garden machinery industry, however are proving very popular due to their 3 year commercial warranty and the M12 and M18 battery platforms meaning all the tools can be powered from one battery. They were showcasing all the product range from this year including the M18 chainsaw which we recently did a blog on, as well as a few new products for next season. In particular the M18 pruner and the new M18 brushcutter caught our eye.

Husqvarna

We have been dealing in Husqvarna for many years now, and our main interest was to go and see the latest Automowers which are due for release! Sadly, they weren’t available yet for use to get our hands on, but the new NERA series of wireless automowers are now live ready for you to pre order on our website now, and we are very excited to see them early spring 23. There was also some battery hedgetrimmers and brushcutters for the professional market with equivalent power of 25cc petrol tools.

Ego Power Plus

Ego had possibly the biggest and most talked about stand of the day. With a huge screen showcasing their latest products and also a lawnmowing simulator, the stand certainly attracted many visitors. Ego has grown in popularity rapidly over the past few years and you can certainly see why. The latest ride on mowers, the Z6 steering wheel and Z6 52″ cut mower boast great run times and look very futuristic grabbing the attention of many. There were new hand tools and also some battery powered workshop tools which are all available now on our website to pree order for delivery early Spring 23.

Cobra

Before heading down to Saltex we were quite excited as we had heard of some new product ranges coming to Cobra and we weren’t let down. Releasing seven ride on lawnmowers and four cylinder mowers to their range will add so much more to this affordable and quality brands catalogue. With prices on the ride ons ranging from around £1500 up to £3000 these will be ideal for many customers and we expect these to be in high demand.

Stihl

Stihl had very little new products to see on the stand, however we are expecting a new range of entry level petrol chainsaws, which have been completely overhauled, and as we get more information on these we will write a blog and upload the products to ours site. Also, mid next year we are expecting to see a completely new range of iMow robotic lawnmowers coming to the market, which we have seen a few photos of these and are very excited about the launch.

Hayter & Toro

Hayter showcased some prototype Lithium Ion powered Hayter Harrier 48 & 56 pro’s. There is such a huge demand from our commercial customers for these machines to hit the market. The power unit was only a 3D printed block on the day but it looks like these pro machines are going to run on 2 batteries. There is also a multi point chaerger coming for these machines as well, but we do have good news, the Hayter Harrier 41 pro will be available next year with a 60V lithium motor on so get your orders in for them! Toro showcased some of their commercial machinery, including the zero turns and riders. These are such a well built machine and really great value for money. These will all be available for demo so if you are interested in any products from the commercial Toro range get in touch and we can arrange a demo for you!

Overall Saltex was a fantastic day out, which we got to meet many of our suppliers and catch up with them as well as the Lawn Care Legends. We are looking forward to the 2023 season and all the latest products coming into the shop!
